The Baxter State Park Headquarters in Millinocket will be closed to the public from 5/04 – 5/14 for a training event. The reservations phone line will still be open during this time.

Winter Camping Has Ended
No camping is permitted in the Park until the summer camping season begins on 5/15. Camping is permitted in BSP by reservation only.
All Katahdin & Traveler trails are closed at the trailhead
Please monitor our Today’s Condition’s page for updates (trails usually open late May/early June). Trail closures protect the sensitive alpine environment during freeze-thaw cycles.
