Frigid conditions are expected in the Park throughout the week ahead (Monday, 1/20 – Thursday, 1/23), with below zero temperatures likely to be intensified by extreme wind chill. Be alert for the potential for hypothermia and other cold related injuries.

In observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the Park Headquarters in Millinocket and Reservations Line will be closed on Monday, January 20th.

The Baxter State Park Headquarters in Millinocket and Reservations Line will be closed on Tuesday, 12/24, Wednesday, 12/25, and Wednesday, 1/01. Have a safe and happy holiday season!

Some of our fees are changing, beginning with the Summer 2025 Camping Season. These rates will go into effect on January 15th, when reservations for the summer season first open. To learn more about our fees and policies here.
