The Park Tote Road will be closed to through traffic between the Dwelley and McCarty parking areas on Monday, 9/26, between 9am-1pm

Beginning Friday, July 22nd, our Reservations office in Millinocket will be open to the public.
Park Update: As of Tuesday, June 14, the Tote Road is now completely open from the North to South entrance. Please still take caution as some area have soft spots on the sides of the road. As a reminder, the speed limit for the ENTIRE Tote Road is 20MPH. All Katahdin trails are open!

Spring Update: Starting Sunday June 5, all Katahdin Trails will be open. The Tote Road is now closed from Phoenix Gate (at the Camp Phoenix turn) to Wadleigh Brook. Continue to watch for more updates!
Trail Update: Starting Wednesday June 1st, most Katahdin trails will be open, EXCEPT Saddle, Dudley, and Baxter Peak Cutoff. The Traveler Loop is open. The section of the Tote Road between Wadleigh Brook in the north and McManus Brook on the west side remains closed.
Starting Sunday May 15, Togue Pond Gate will open to Roaring Brook on the east and McManus Brook on the west, and Matagamon Gate will open to Trout Brook Crossing (the bridge just past the turn to South Branch Pond).
