Snowmobiling is now closed in Baxter State Park. The Park has closed the Main Entrance Gates at Togue Pond Gatehouse, Matagamon Gatehouse, and the Logan Brook Road gate.

Yesterday’s storm brought enough snow that the Park’s Tote Road is now accessible by snowmobile. PLEASE REMEMBER: The Tote Road is the only place in the park where snowmobiles are allowed. All Katahdin and Traveler Ridge trails are closed at the trailheads until further notice due to wet conditions. Visitors should be prepared for wet conditions and blowdown trees on other trails throughout the Park. Park gates remain closed to vehicular traffic for the season.
The Park’s reservations office and headquarters will be closed on Monday 2/19 in observance of President’s Day.
