In observance of Labor Day, the BSP Administrative Office will be closed on September 2, 2024. The reservation office at Headquarters will be open from 8 am to 4 pm.

Due to a server issue, our reservations office is currently experiencing technical difficulties. You may experience issues making reservations online or by phone. Please be patient while the issue is resolved. Reservation Staff is unable to make reservations by phone at this time. Please check back for updates.
Due to necessary municipal utility work, the Baxter State Park headquarters in Millinocket will be closed on Tuesday, 4/16/24. The Reservations Line will be open as normal.

Hikers entering the park along the Appalachian Trail should be aware that the boardwalk and bridge structure crossing the Grassy Pond Outlet, approximately 0.5 mile south of Katahdin Stream Campground, has been damaged during recent flooding events. The Togue Pond and Matagamon Gates will be open between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. through Saturday, 11/04/23. As of Sunday, 11/05/23, they will be open between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The Tote Road will be closed between Abol Hill & Wadleigh Brook as of 10/28/23. The Roaring Brook Road is closed past the Sanctuary Line as of 10/25/2023
