The Trout Brook Foot Bridge Will Be Closed for the Foreseeable Future

Starting this spring, the foot bridge spanning Trout Brook at the Trout Brook Farm Campground will be closed. The bridge’s infrastructure is no longer safe for use, and there are no immediate plans to replace it.

The lean-to site on the north side of the Brook will continue to be available for visitor use, but will only be accessible by boat or by wading across Trout Brook. The Park will provide a canoe specifically for use by campers at this site.  Like back-country sites in the Park, reservations for this site must now be made by phone or in person. Sites 1 & 2 (walk-in tent sites north of the Brook) will no longer be used. The Freezeout trail will continue to be maintained, and similar to site #3, will be accessed by boat or wading.
